The Vedic Perspective on Disease

Many diseases which are not completely curable with modern medicine (Eg: Diabetes, BP) are actually due to Poorva Janma Papa (sins of previous birth) only, says Sasthra.

Ayurveda hence recommends Daivajna Chikithsa which is the treatment by depending on Manthra, Dana, and Aushadha as there is no medicine for sins.

How Sins Generate Disease

Poorva Janma papa will be affecting the mind; that is, due to the papa Bhala, the mind will not function properly. This will cause an imbalance of Vatha, Pitha, and Kabha (Air, Fire, Water) in the body which becomes the cause for many diseases.

Through the Prayaschitha Karma (act of atonement), once the papam or sin is removed, the mind will start functioning properly. The Vatha, Pitha, and Kabha will be balanced, and diseases will go away. Like how when the root is destroyed, even the biggest tree will fall down, once the papa is totally removed, even the most severe disease will get cured.
