Bhagavathi Seva

Invoke the Divine Mother for protection, prosperity, and spiritual upliftment.

About the Ritual

Bhagavathi Seva is a powerful ancient Vedic ceremony performed to restore balance in the environment and bring peace within us. This unique ritual is dedicated to Goddess Rajarajeswari (Durga Devi), invoked in her three primary forms: Maha Kali (for protection), Maha Lakshmi (for wealth), and Maha Saraswati (for wisdom).

This Pooja is traditionally performed in the evening. A large lamp (Padmam) is set in the center of a beautifully decorated Mandala, symbolizing the Universe. The Devi is invoked into this lamp, and specific mantras are chanted to appease the Goddess and seek her blessings for the removal of all obstacles and miseries.

Significance

Bhagavathi Seva serves as a powerful shield against negative energies. It is believed that by performing this Seva, the malefic effects of planets in one's horoscope are pacified. The ritual cleanses the aura of the participants and the surroundings, filling the home with positive vibrations.

It is particularly famous during the month of Karkidakam (Ramayana Masam) in Kerala but can be performed on auspicious days like Tuesdays, Fridays, and Pournami (Full Moon) days throughout the year.
