Description
Sasthra says that there is Kala mruthue , Akala mruthue , Apamruthue and Durmaranam .
Kalamruthyue is the death after complete “ ayus”or life span allotted for a person in this birth . Akala mruthue , Apamruthue and Durmaranam are the death due to accidents , diseases , suicide etc which can come in between . Aushya homam will definitely make one escape from the Akala mruthue , Apamruthue and Durmaranam
All should perform this homam for their child on the 1st birth day to get the blessings of ayurdevatha for deerkayusu
Homam
This homam is prescribed by Rishi Bothayana . Homam is done exacly as Bhodayana Vidhi
This is done for getting deerkayussue or Long life and has to be performed on yearly Nakshathra birth day or on the Monthly Nakshathra date . 8 times Ayush Sooktham is chanted and havan is done .
For the Pradhana Ahoothi – Ayurdevatha Manthra is chanted . After Chanting the ayush sooktha each time , sambadam ( after doing homam remaining Ghee will be a taken in a cup) is taken . .By chanting Manthra Annam mixed Sambatham Ghee will be given to kartha to eat
Note –
Anna prasanam should not be done along with Ayush homam done for the child during the 1st birth day . It is Sasthra Virudha ( Against Sasthras ). Annaprasanam should be separately done between 150-180 days from the birth day .
When should be pereformed – On the yearly birth day when the Nakshathra comes and also during monthly Nakshthra days .
Must be performed on the 1st birth day of child
